Project Description

The main objective of the ODIN Ontology is to provide the data model for an open digital platform to support services and Key Enabling Resources (KERs), enhanced by the Internet of Things (IoT), Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to empower workers, medical locations, logistics and interaction with the territory.
The introduction of ODIN technologies aims to allow real-time management of medical devices thanks to a combination of AI, IoT, robots, sensors, wearable devices for workers and the
semantic solution for web architectures. The goal is to promote a better harmonization and standardization of Health Technology Management (HTM) within European hospitals. ODIN’s goal
regarding this area of intervention is to fill the lack of real-time exchange of information among staff. This has been an issue which in past years has caused the majority of adverse events in hospitals. This technology will be beneficial also in terms of disaster preparedness for future adverse events that could cause a great influx of patients and that would force hospitals to adapt their resources and layout.
